WMT
Wet metric tonne
Short definition
A unit for the mass of ore including its moisture. Converting wet tonnes to dry tonnes requires the product’s moisture content. Comparing a cost per wet tonne with a price per dry tonne therefore requires a consistent mass basis and a check of the costs included.
