Dry metric tonne
Short definition
A unit for the mass of ore excluding its moisture. A price per dry tonne is quoted on that mass basis. Conversion from wet tonnage depends on the product’s moisture content; a dry tonne of ore includes both iron and the ore’s other dry constituents.
