Profiling

Short definition

Automated processing of personal data to evaluate aspects of a person, such as interests, behaviour or movements. A profile may rely on inferences and contain errors. Profiling does not necessarily lead to a fully automated decision; aggregate statistics that do not evaluate individuals are not sufficient to establish profiling.
