CDN
Content delivery network
Short definition
Infrastructure that delivers digital content through distributed servers, often caching copies close to users. A publisher can operate its own network or contract with a delivery provider. This arrangement can reduce delivery costs and response times by bringing content closer to its users. The content publisher and the delivery-network operator can be separate businesses.
