ASN
Autonomous system number
Short definition
A number identifying a group of networks with a coherent routing policy on the internet. IANA allocates blocks of numbers to regional internet registries, which assign them to network operators. This technical identifier describes the routing organisation; identifying the content publisher and the legally liable taxpayer requires additional information.
