Short definition
A life insurance obligation expressed in units whose euro value tracks a financial or property investment. The insurer commits to a number of units; the policyholder bears changes in unit value, subject to any additional contractual guarantees. The policy surrender timetable and the underlying fund’s liquidity are separate questions.
