Petroleum Administration for Defense Districts
Short definition
Regions used by the EIA to analyse US petroleum supplies, inventories and movements. The fifty states and Washington, DC, form five districts; PADD 1 covers the East Coast. US territories fall within PADDs 6 and 7, which are excluded from EIA US totals.
