Shared dependency
Several services relying on the same resource
Short definition
A situation in which several functions or organisations rely on the same provider, service or technical infrastructure. Separate supplier contracts can also converge on shared infrastructure through subcontracting. Its interruption may affect multiple customers at once. The risk depends on the importance of the supported functions and the recovery or substitution options available.
